How To Start Mini Importation Business With As Little As #20,000

Lately there have been lots of business going on all around the internet about Mini Importation every where and am going to show you guys how you can start and successfully run a mini importation business with as little as #20,000 and make it upto #350,000 monthly.

I have been online for quite some time and i have learnt how generating income using the power of the internet works. Do you know that you can start and run a successful
mini importation business that generates cool income for you?

May be you don't know yet but that is exactly what am about to teach you here and all what you have to do is to sit down relax and read all the content in this page carefully. To start importation business, we need certain basic requirements. These requirements are basic and without them, we can’t start anything. Never panic, they are what each and every one of us can easily get. The requirements are;

1. Internet Access

The first thing we need is access to the internet since we shall be ordering for the items we want to import from abroad and the only means we can do this is by access to the internet. Remember we aren’t traveling down to USA or CHINA to do our importing. Internet access via a personal computer or a public computer like cyber cafĂ© is pretty fine. In fact, if you have access to the internet via smart phones, it’s sufficient too.

2. Payment Channel

Another requirement is our means of making payment. Some people do see this as a challenge to transacting business from abroad/ international websites. They often think that all payment are done through paypal. This is a fallacy. With the portals I shall teach you to import from, you can make use of our regular Nigerian DEBIT card (we call it ATM cards here in Nigeria). If you have any ATM card issued from any of the Nigerian banks, chances are that your card can be used for payment to these portals.

3. Delivery Address

You need a traceable address where your goods will be delivered to when it arrive in Nigeria. The goods we shall be ordering will be coming into Nigeria through regular mails (post office) or through express mails (dhl ems and co) Often time, when your goods come around, the postman will ring your phone to come and pick up your goods at their office. If your order come through DHL, they will try as much as possible to deliver it to your door steps in as much as your address is traceable. Otherwise, they will ring you up to come and pick your goods from their office.
The more reason why we need to use a traceable address is to save us the stress of going to their office to pick up our goods. An address like No 2, bolade Street, ikeja, lagos, lagos State, Nigeria is an example of a traceable address. If you do not have one, use a friend’s.

Market Survey

This is very crucial. By market survey, I mean researching about your environment (where you shall be selling your imported goods) and ascertain the kind of goods that are selling very well around there.
It’s always advisable that one sells something that is already selling in an environment rather than trying to force something new on the market. This is a sure way of making quick cash. No need for trial and errors. Identify goods that are already selling, know the wholesale price, go online and buy the goods at cheaper price, import them and sell. Simple!

Some people are risk takers and if you would love to be one of them, you need to be a good marketer. These set of people are people that import new products (never in the market before) and personally create awareness for the products. The advantage of this act is that, if the product get accepted in the market, you will make a whole lot of money but if it doesn’t gain acceptance, you might lose some cash.
Your immediate environment and target market should guide you in the choice of products to import. If you are a student, then you should think of importing stuffs like phones, phone accessories, tablet pcs, laptops, flash drives, memory cards and stuffs like that which fellow students can buy from you.

If you are an adult and you are ready to go fully into importation business, the list is so large. You can import just anything and sell at a good profit margin. Never worry too much; I will explain simple strategies to market your goods in this guide. Just before that, I want to give a list of things that you can import.

Portals to Import From

Warning: Scams abound on the internet just like 419ers abounds offline. You will fall victim of such scams if you are too gullible and do not follow simple instructions.

The websites i will list here are genuine websites that have been tested and are trusted. I have personally used all. Ever since i have been using them for the past 3 years, I have never had issues with them. Below is the list of the portals.

1. Aliexpress. This is accessible at www.aliexpress.com and it’s a China website. It’s one of my favourite for buying good products at incredible prices. With Aliexpress, you will make a lot of cash from Importation biz.

2. Ebay. This is also a very great USA website where I have bought several items. Unfortunately, they do not sell to Nigerians but, there is a secret I use in buying from EBAY (legally) and I will teach this in details in this report.
3. Ipmart
4. DealExtreme
5. Mobilekarma
6. Amazon

The topmost 2 websites are the ones I will use in explaining in details. They are the ones I have used so well in buying cheaply from abroad and selling for great prices here in Nigeria. The others listed are all tested and trusted too but, you may have to limit yourself to Ebay and Aliexpress for now since they are what I will use for the illustrations below.

China Based Importation

When it comes to importing goods from China, there is just one website that I can give 99% guarantee of. The website is Aliexpress. Aliexpress is a China based website and you can buy cheaply from them at wholesale prices. I have been buying from them for over 2 years now.

Let’s register on www.aliexpress.com to get started and start buying cheaply from them and retailing at good proft margin here in Nigeria.

Type www.aliexpress on your browser and you will land on the page like the one below.

Tricks to Picking Great Goods at Fantastic Prices

It’s time to start buying from aliexpress.com but just before that, there are salient things you need to know. We need to know how to search for the cheapest products on the website.
Do not be surprised that some merchants will be selling the same products at different prices. I have often seen products with as much as $10 difference in price across different merchants. Likewise, some sellers will charge you extra fee for shipping while some will give you FREE shipping. This alone can save you several hundreds of dollars.

Input the keyword of the product you would love to buy. I am interested in buying t-shirts. One of the very salient things to do is to use the word “cheap” before any item you want to search for. Once you do this, click on the search as indicated with the blue arrow above.

When the result comes up, right at the top like above image, we need to do some important settings. GREEN ARROW above, you need to click on it. This means that the result that will come up will be for items that we wouldn’t have to pay for shipping.
PINK ARROW. We have to click on this so that the result that will come will be for reputable sellers. This is very important so that we do not fall victim of low quality products sellers. Top-Rated sellers must be selected.
BLUE ARROW: We should click on this and pick the option “PRICE (lowest first)”. By doing so, the results that will come will be of those sellers that sells cheaply.

You may also select the BROWN ARROW to ensure the products that displays on the search are products of sellers that are online at that point in time. This means you can chat with the seller to find out more about his products and even bargain to get price reduction.

BLACK ARROW. Black arrow indicates above the option to select the means of shipment you want. Most sellers that do FREE shipping use CHINA post in sending the products and this normally take around 14days to 20days to arrive in Nigeria. You hardly find any seller use DHL for shipment (FREE SHIPPING).
Once the criteria have been refined as shown above, the result will show up… the result for the above search is shown below.

You will see that we can get some of these shirts for as cheap as $3 (#450). I personally do not like settling down for low quality/ too cheap products when importing so, I pick presentable goods at profitable prices. Take for example, among my search, I saw this…

Among the results above, I clicked on this product and it showed more detail about the product. I will explain with the arrows.

RED ARROW:
This shows the price of this shirt. If you take a closer look at the price, you will see that this shirt is sold in lot. They are selling 5 pieces of these shirts together at the rate of $3.92 each. This adds up to $19.62/lot. Use your calculator to calculate at the rate of #160/dollar. That’s around #3,140 for the 5 t-shirts. Trust me, the cheapest I can sell these shirts at wholesale price in Nigeria will be #1,200 each. That’s #6,000. Pure #2,860 profit. That’s almost 100% profit.

BLUE ARROW: Shows the delivery time. This is an estimate of when the shirts will arrive in Nigeria because; it’s coming through China post. Never mind the estimated time. Some goods come in as early as 14days to 20days or ordering.

BLACK ARROW: it’s very important we check on this. It shows the rating of the seller. Only transact with seller of 95% and above rating. Do not ask why?

BROWN ARROW: If we still want to buy more items, we need to click on the “add to cart” option. With this, the product will be added into your cart while you continue shopping.

RED ARROW: If you are done with shopping and you want to make payment, click on BUY NOW.

Just before we buy the goods, we may want to be sure of what we want to buy. If you scroll towards the bottom of the page, you will see FEEDBACKS left by previous buyers of the product. This is the most potent criteria to ensuring that you are buying a genuine and good quality product. Below is the feedback of the product I gave above…

These are what the previous buyers have said about this t-shirt. I want you to take note of the red arrow. The buyer is a 4medals buyer. This means he buys frequently from aliexpress. I believe much in these people’s feedback because they are conversant with aliexpress. Also, when I see good feedback left by a USA buyer, I feel more comfortable to order the product because, Americans are used to quality things and if they say a product is of high quality, it surely must satisfy me too.

This is where i will be stopping in this article.. In my next article which will be part 2 of importation business, i will be taking about how we will be Bargaining Like Woman, Live example of Discount Getting Tricks, The Naija Connection Ordering, payment and Tracking Order, Tricks to Beating Customs to the game, Opening Dispute, Importing from USA and   UK/ Registration with MYUS, Shopping in the USA, How to Place order with MYUS, Requesting for Shipment, Marketing our Goods for Profit, Handbills/flyers, facebook marketing, recruiting sellers etc
